Uttarakhand – The Land of Gods, Glaciers, and Great Himalayan Beauty
Tucked away in the lap of the majestic Himalayas, Uttarakhand is a land of sublime natural beauty, spiritual significance, and adventure. Often referred to as “Dev Bhoomi” (Land of the Gods), Uttarakhand is home to some of the most sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites, snow-capped peaks, dense forests, and fast-flowing rivers. Whether you're a nature lover, a spiritual seeker, a thrill enthusiast, or a peace chaser, Uttarakhand offers something for everyone.
Formed in the year 2000 as a separate state from Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand is divided into two main regions: Kumaon and Garhwal, each with its unique landscapes, traditions, and culture. The state is bordered by Tibet (China) to the north, Nepal to the east, Uttar Pradesh to the south, and Himachal Pradesh to the west.
